I have been interested in photography since I was a teenager but only really took up the craft when I semi-retired. I joined the Orange Camera Club in 2003 and Joined APS in 2004 at that stage digital was in its infancy and as my background is in computing I was involved in introducing Digital imaging to my own Camera Club and camera clubs in the Central and Western area of NSW. I started exhibiting in National and International exhibitions with some success and gained the honours you see after my name.
I still teach at the Western Institute of TAFE on a part time basis teaching Photoshop and Digital Imaging, I also give workshops and talks in the immediate area. I have judged in National and International competitions.I take my images digitally but prefer to print them, I use Photoshop as my main editing programme and print all my own images. In the last year I have avoided taking images for competitions as I feel we can get stale and have concentrated on non-competitive abstract images. The images in this current selection are some of those images.
